Shinto Wedding

  I took these photos when my friends and I visited Tsurugaoka Shrine in Kamakura 10 days ago (see my blog entry of May 19, 2012).

  Though I was born and raised in Japan, this was my first time to see wedding in Shinto Shrine. Even Japanese TV or movies do not show much about Shinto-style wedding (they are almost always indoor rituals, not outdoor).

  The only time I saw the Shinto-style wedding and rituals outdoor (in the Shinto Shrine's precinct) was in the old 007 movie "You only live twice", in which Sean Connerey marry with a Japanese woman in Shinto-style.
